Project Background
eBay Main Street is a media-rich building within eBay’s San Jose campus. In 2016, ESI Design crafted multiple media experiences in Main Street the building to tell an engaging, inspirational, and fun story about eBay through the pillars in the Lobby, the Gallery Touchscreens, and the Iconic Display in the Main Hall. Signet was tasked to work with ESI Design and PBJS (since acquired by Publicis Groupe) to create a content management system for the various media experiences.
The goal was to enable eBay’s Digital Comms team to manage and schedule content on all of the experiences through a custom CMS (content management system) designed by Signet and developed by PBJS.
My Role
As the projects primary UX/UI designer, I started by getting familiar with ESI’s project documentation for each media experience and researching other existing content management systems. Once familiar, I began working on the flow and wire-framing the user experience. I collaborated closely with our creative director to build a cohesive system to cover all the media experiences, and met frequently with eBay’s Digital Comms team, ESI Design’s team, and PBJS’s team. Once the wireframes were approved by all parties involved, I started work on the user interface.
clearly define each media experience, be able to preview/add/edit/delete content, be able to schedule content
