Lockheed Martin
Lockheed Martin’s Global Vision Center (GVC) in Arlington, Virginia is a meeting and collaboration facility that hosts customers, partners, community organizations, and more. In 2016, the Lockheed Martin team wanted to showcase industry-related media while still retaining the capability to manually switch to a presentation mode on demand on their newly installed 16×1 digital canvas in the Multi-Purpose Room.
Creative Direction
I designed four distinct templates, each tailored to showcase imagery from Lockheed Martin’s specific industries. Drawing inspiration from their existing visual assets, I incorporated their signature blue-heavy color palette and the angular motifs present in their logo and other graphics.
For the ‘Industry Highlight’ templates, I combined multiple digital artworks and photographs to create a visually expansive, ultra-wide background. In the ‘Industry-Focused Media Gallery’ templates, I researched cockpit interfaces from fighter jets and popular video games, drawing on this knowledge to design two custom cockpit layouts. In both designs, I took inspiration from head-up displays (HUDs), integrating them into the layout to create dynamic borders that highlighted Lockheed Martin’s key products and images.

New Templates
Lockheed Martin’s team was thrilled with the results of our initial collaboration, so they returned with a new template request: animated featurette of their latest products.
